I was going to use this as a slightly cheeky reply to someone among all the current fuss but honestly, it’s not entirely reflective of my only partially informed opinion and I don’t really care to argue.
Instead, enjoy the song as a jumping off point down the NIN rabbit hole, as I’ve done for the last hour.

Such a crazy career. From “March of the Pigs” to “Echo”, dude has really kept his style while still somehow undergoing massive musical changes. I remember seeing endless articles on him and nine inch nails back in the early 90's, late 90's , e arly 2000's... A nd then he reappeared as one of the best and most p rolific film composers of the last decade and a half. Plus all of the other artists he’s helped along, and the work he's done pushing the technical envolpe with Moog and other gear manufacturers ....
